The TD18H+ is the ultimate 18″ driver for live sound, home theater, and hifi applications where low distortion and accuracy are top priority. The TD18H+ features the same Lambda style motor as the rest of the TD woofers, only scaled up to fit this massive driver. The result is the same low inductance, low distortion, incredible heat transfer, and overall accuracy you would expect from the TD woofers, only larger. The long black anodized aluminum coil former combined with the massive 3/4″ thick top plate and the Full Copper Faraday Sleeve on the pole means this driver has extremely good heat dissipation. In fact they have 2-4x as much heat sinking area many 3″ and 4″ coil drivers. The result is power handling and power compression that is equal to or better than many of the best 4″ coil drivers on the market. The TD18H+ also has a huge 14mm Xmax, putting it at the top of the market in that category as well. As with all of the TD drivers, their ultra low inductance means they can play cleanly up into the midrange region like no other drivers. You will not find an 18″ driver that can compete with the midbass accuracy of the TD18H+.
The Apollo Upgrade is also available which further lowers distortion and increases the heat transfer away from the voice coil. The TD18H+ can play cleanly up into the midrange frequencies and extends cleanly to over 1KHz for use in very large way systems. If you are looking for the cleanest, most accurate, high efficiency 18″ driver on the market, the TD18H+ is it.
The TD18H+ also makes an ideal woofer for automotive SQ and SQL systems where high output and efficiency are desired.
