Thanks for the offer.
I am not from the state and shipping it will be too expensive considering I am on the other side of the globe, Singapore.

Hi John and Infernno333,
Sorry for not be able to reply promptly.
Yes I do have one 12″ TC-1000 using aluminium cone by TC sound.
And yes I am looking at making use of my existing 12″ TC1000 to cover the midbass portion to give me the chest thumping bass which is currently missing. What sealed volume u recommend and would it be good to go with PR?
Had no intention to sell my SVS as it sure can rock my house 🙂
I am certainly interested in a pair of AV15 (H or X) if ever there is a group buy.
Understand that it will take some time for it to happen.
I am sure it does no harm to have a show of hands who is interested. 😛Junior on February 6, 2006 at 5:39 am · in reply to: AV15 PR Enclosure (24" cube) – internal or external? #2491
Really appreciate the reply.
The 24″ cube is already an optimize design in term of box volume and output. With that, the PR’s weight will be ranging from 1600 – 2000 grams of mass.
May I ask what will the tunning frequency be if I were to use PR of 2000 grams of mass? What other benefit beside getting a lower tunning frequency from using 2000 grams? And is it advisable?

The 24″ cube power 15 enclosure is tuned to 18.7Hz. To get a lower F3 of say 15Hz, what modification should be made? (in terms of dimension and number of PR used and its weights)?
As the PR is adding to my budget, as an alternative may I also ask what is the equivalent vent diameter and length in replacement for the 2 PR used in Power 15?
I’m now looking at all the possibilities so that it does fit into my budget.
Appreciate any advice.
Hi R. Buszka,
had read your threat “AV15 in a sonotube”.
very informative and encouraging. 😀
it really make me madeup my mind in building myself an AV15.
unfortuantely, is practically impossible for me the get any sonotube material in the place where i live.
as such, i have to wait for the recommended box enclosure cabinet plans to be uploaded, especially the EBS alignment configurration.
please don’t make me wait any longer 😥 😥
shall wait for the plan to be ready.
hi R. Buszka,
would really like to have sonosub with an AV15 but due to WAF cos’ she commented that it does look like a dustbin 🙁
will look into the thread and see if I can find ways to convince her 😉
Sorry for hijacking this thread. 😳
I had a few corresponds with John and he did mentioned that he had engaged someone to come out with the recommened cabinets plans for the AV series. Being a novice with no experience and I do not wish to make any expensive mistake by designing my own cabinet. Thus, I do rely on recommended plans. I was wondering when will the suggested cabinet plan be available and will someone point to me the link.
Having that I can then go ahead with the cabinet fabrication while waiting for the drivers to reach me upon odering.
The EBS Alignment for an AV15 is really big.
Would you mind advice on the enclosure for AV12 EBS Alignment in this case? I would like to do a comparison between the 2 and if the size is not too signifcantly difference, I might as well stick with AV15.
Are you coming out with the cabinet plans for both AV15 and AV12?
