China group buy has been finished for abt half a year, thanks Mr. John for helping us to developing the DIpole 18.
One friend in Shenzhen has successfully combining the AE DIPOLE18 with Lowther PM4A, bi-amp, open baffle.

    Hi turboguy,

I can’t read chinese, so it makes it hard to register and communicate on that forum.

I have 2 pairs of Dipole18 drivers and plan to pair it with a 8″ high efficiency full range driver too. I was hoping to run the setup passively (via bi-amp). I notice in some of the photos the user has created a suitable passive crossover network for his system. Any details that they are able to possibly share? Crossover point/slope? It would be of great help to me 🙂

    Cheers,
    Tuyen

    Mr. Tuyen
You are lucky to have these great speakers! in fact, we have a group buy, paid Mr. John for more than 2 years, still more than 80 units of Dipole speakers are not delivered to us…
But, all who bought in the 1st and 2nd group buy, are very happy with them.
    Pity for AE!

The passive crossover net work is easy, using LOWEST DCR 12-15Mh inductor, best ring type one, as two pairs of 16ohm parellel to 8ohms, crossover point is 200hz or so, using Linkwitz type, the one who using PM4, got the best result.

    Best!
    Sam
