    i am new to the DIY thing, but i want to build either a 15″ or 18″ sub for my car. i want to go from the ground up. SPL over SQ this time, are there any sites out there that can help me out, where should i get started?

    If you want to do an SPL sub for your car, the first thing you need to do is measure or find a transfer function for your vehicle. This is as important or more important than picking the woofer and enclosure for the vehicle.

    When you say you want to go for SPL do you mean for competition or just want a really loud system?
